Matt Bhamaraniyama

I was born and raised in Georgia. Spent about 6 years in Thailand from 3-9 years old. I’m currently 29 years old. My cousins and I own a Thai Food stall inside of the Chattahoochee Food Works. I have been working in the restaurant business for about 14 years. Food has always been a passion of mine. I have worked a number of different positions, from bussing to managing.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is from Thailand. Food is a big part of our family. Ever since I can remember, my whole family would always get together and spend time with each other over a nice home cooked meal that we would all help prepare.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
In the past, I used to manage a Thai restaurant in Buckhead. Currently I am the co-owner of TydeTate Kitchen located inside The Chattahoochee Food Works. Working with my family is definitely what I love most about what I do.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Storico Fresco, The Optimus, Marcel

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I am fairly new to the area, but I have worked around the area for many years.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I would have to say all the other owners inside the food hall. Everyone has a different background and it’s been great working along side them.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
It would be Japan because of all the amazing food and culture.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My top show would be How I Met Your Mother.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
My advice would be to continue to work hard everyday and never stop learning.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To travel the world and eat all the good food!

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
The new Chattahoochee Food Works and all the amazing food stalls.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with Warren Buffet and pick his brain about finance and investing. Would probably take him to Storico Fresco.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The people definitely make the community great.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I hope to have my own family and own many investment properties.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
As social as I am, I enjoy being an introvert.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Ranong, Thailand

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Favorite month is April. Favorite holiday is Thai New Year (water fight festival). Dec 25th is the best day.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Quality time with my love ones is 10/10 for me.

The ones closest to me.

Bonfire and anything grape scented

Family, Love, Dogs
